A true Kentucky thoroughbred, the Old Fashioned embarked on a journey from its origins to the illustrious Waldorf Astoria in New York during the late 1800s. However, it wasn’t until the post-prohibition era that this venerable classic firmly etched its name in the annals of cocktail folklore, ascending to the esteemed status of a timeless libation. It became the drink of choice for the Mad Men, movie moguls, and anyone with an appreciation for the finer things in life. Comprising American malt, sugar syrup, and bitters, the Old Fashioned embodies a philosophy of simplicity and elegance. It is a libation that epitomizes refinement and is most pleasing to the discerning palate. This is the drink one orders when one has truly arrived, a symbol of sophistication and taste that stands the test of time, and we love that we can make this non-alcoholic version at home.
